Most of my digital work is produced in collaboration with Glasgow-based web designer and developer, Scott Savage (+). By combining our strategic, creative and technical expertise, our websites are designed to look good and deliver tangible outcomes, while being easy to maintain and update.
We’ll embed your website in your brand strategy. We’ll help you structure your site to make it easy to navigate. We’ll provide you with ideas to encourage visitors, sign-ups, support and donations. We’ll also provide specially tailored training and manuals. If you’d like all that, combined with a friendly, helpful approach, then please get in touch (+).
Project Ability
Project Ability is a visual arts organisation that works with people with disabilities and experience of mental ill-health. The website was the result of a process that began with a programme of brand strategy workshops, and included the design of a new logo.
The Only Way is Ethics
The Only Way is Ethics was an 8-day, 20-venue, 50-event festival of ethics for which I took on the role of Festival Manager. The website was the central reference for all audiences, and dovetailed with our social media activities.
The Confucius Institute for Scotland
The Confucius Institute for Scotland is based in the University of Edinburgh. It promotes educational, cultural and economic ties between Scotland and China. The website is just one of many projects I’ve delivered for the Institute since we first started working together in 2007.
SICSA: The Scottish Informatics & Computer Science Alliance
SICSA promotes research, education and knowledge exchange in informatics and computer science on behalf of 14 Scottish universities. As well as producing their website, my work for SICSA has included print and display materials. If you visit the Design for Print section you’ll see the leaflet (+) I designed to promote SICSA’s services.
Impact Arts
Impact Arts is a community arts organisation that operates across the Central Belt. I was commissioned to design their website after working with them to create their logo and wider visual identity.
The Al-Maktoum Institute
Focussing on Islamic Studies, the degrees offered by the Al-Maktoum Institute were validated by the University of Aberdeen. As well as delivering the Institute’s website, I also designed the logo and a wide range of printed assets, including the prospectus.
